In the last years Watashi has invested in the training of its staff with the aim of implementing in all departments the industrial model of lean manufacturing, which is based on the principle of the elimination of waste.
A non-exhaustive list of tools used by Watashi includes:
Total Productive Maintenance (TPM)
Reorganization of working spaces
The large space devoted to staff training and development of human resources allows Watashi to present itself as a highly competent company in its field. In 2010, Watashi entrusted to their office staff the task of improving the planning and supervision activities bringing to receive the first note of the entity about DNV (Det Norske Veritas). In 2014 it was redefined their education standard which provides: awarding of the best participant in the training courses in order to motivate employees to give their best meetings with the leaders on the progress of education in their department, in order to ensure consistency with the training plans shared with collaborators
To select the best raw materials, the R & D team works closely with key suppliers. These are carefully selected in collaboration with the Office of Watashi Purchases. To validate the product in all its aspects - including the risks of end users safety - are organized consumer tests in parallel with laboratory tests: the first are performed internally by Watashi specialists in a dedicated structure; the latter externally in collaboration with independent laboratories for controls on raw materials and the finished product. Watashi is also in constant contact with dermatological and microbiological institutes. Only after passing all tests, the product can be released for the start of production and its subsequent sale.
The in Watashi quality control is carried out directly on the production lines: the operators are trained to do autonomously controls to ensure that quality and waste are non-existent, thanks to the verifications. In addition, the Watashi staff performs statistical control of variables, attributes and product packaging. All this results in the mastery of the production process and high product quality. The technology must be at the forefront in order to allow continuous testing on the product key parameters, internal (faults) or external (complaints) that are. For example, Watashi uses visual tools to keep updated production on quality objectives and weaknesses. This door system, on the one hand, the timely removal of the root causes of any problems and, secondly, to strengthen the relationship of trust between Watashi and its customers.
